Guide to WoW Death Knights Post 3.1 Patch - Blood DPS
2009-08-13 00:00:00
Everything you need to know to play your DPS Death Knight post patch 3.1. We discuss talent specs, glyphs, and spell rotations to get the most DPS out of your Death Knight, whether its Frost, Unholy, or Blood. Overview<br />In the April 09 World of Warcraft patch 3.1, named Secrets of Ulduar, a lot of things changed in the game. Among the hundreds of minute changes made to both gameplay, professions, and items, significant changes were made to each individual class. Death Knights were by no means spared. Prior to the patch there was a lot of speculation as to what the changes would mean for the Death Knight class, as far as itemization, talent specialization, and ability rotations were concerned. Now that the patch is fully implemented, and has even been hotfixed, patched, and improved upon, we are now more fully equipped to discuss the status of Death Knights...
World of Warcraft Power Leveling Rules of Thumb
2009-03-10 00:00:00
This is yet another guide that I have found online and it has a great foundation for powerleveling effectively, so I decided to add it here for your enjoyment! Why add another powerleveling basics guide? Great question, I added it here because I feel that if you don't have the powerleveling basics down you will not powerlevel at the speed you really can achieve. Just like learning anything you must MASTER the fundamentals to really become a master. Just think of this as a beginning mastery course for World of Warcraft powerleveling! 1) Take as many quests as possible and at the same time, try not to do quests one at a time. When entering a new area, find all the quests from NPC's first, before you start killing things. 2) A complementary group of 2 or 3 (such as tank + healer) is sometimes far better than solo'ing. Especially when a quest calls for "kill X amount of something". Use groups when they suit you. Leave a gro...
World of Warcraft Priest Grinding Guide
2009-03-10 00:00:00
This priest powerleveling guide was listed on the WoW forums and it is really a good read and has a lot of grinding locations available that will be helpful to more classes than just a priest. Give this a good read even if you are a different class, don't discount it if you don't play a priest. (The grinding locations are near the bottom.) My advice on where/how to powerlevel: The part you've probably been waiting for. Quest for the first 20 levels or so. Since I was alliance, I starting doing Deadmines at about level 19, and I did Deadmines several times for decent EXP. Summary: Do very, very few quests from level 30 to level 52. Then do quests as quickly as you possibly can until you ding at 60. Levels: 21, 22, 23, 24 Where: Southeast Duskwood (Tranquil Gardens Cemetary) Mobs: Level 21-23 Skeleton Warriors/Mages Comments: The area is packed with mobs and has a fast respawn rate. Should get around 18,000 EXP/hour here. Do the quest titled "The Night Watch" because it is a really good grinding quest. Pretty close to the graveyard. Levels: 24, 25, 26 Where: Northwest Duskwood (Raven Hill Cemetary) Mobs: Level 23-25 Skeletal Fiends/Horrors Comments: If this area is packed with players, you can...
World of Warcraft Private Server Guide
2009-03-10 00:00:00
This guide is very helpful if you have ever wondered how people get to play World of Warcraft on a private server. Doing this will can also let you play as a GM if you know the person hosting the private server. I just found this on the internet and I have not tried it. Also, I am not responsible for the information contained in this guide and use at your own risk. With that said...here is the guide! Have you ever wondered how you could solo MC or BWL? How about have a godly character that nothing can defeat? So... Now that I've caught your attention, I will explain how to connect to one of many WoW private servers! 1. Rename your World of Warcraft folder to anything else, for example wowow, something you won't forget is your World of Warcraft folder. For Windows users you'll find the folder "World of Warcraft" in C: Program Files. 2. Install the World of Warcraft (again). The installer will ask you where you want to place World of Warcraft. The default is installed into C: Program Files World of Warcraft, but instead rename it to C: Program Files PrivateServerWoW (or anything else). Also, don't have it send an icon to the desktop. 3. Once you've installed World of Warcraft, DO NOT connect to the ...
World of Warcraft Reputation Guide for Aldor
2009-03-10 00:00:00
When you finally hit that coveted level 60 mark and head into the Outlands, you will need to decide which order you should align yourself with: Aldor or Scryer. Formed by an ancient order of Draenei Priests, the Aldor continue to revere the Naaru, who are known as the Sha'tar, and continue to help them in their war against the Illidan and the Burning Legion. You will find the Aldor mainly in Shadowmoon Valley and Shattrath City, where their holy temple sits atop Aldor Rise, watching over the city from their western perch. The Aldors have been enemies with the blood elves, who became known as the Scryers, but have set aside their war for the Sha'tar, for now. Since the Aldor is an ancient order, almost every player will start out as neutral with them, but most Blood Elf players will start out hostile with them and friendly to the Scryers, where Draenei players will start out friendly with Aldor and hostile to Scryers. To begin your quest for raising your reputation with the Aldors, you need to find Khadgar in Shattrath City, where you will get the first quest for either the Aldors or the Scryers. Don't worry C if you make your pick and decide later that you want to change, the choice is reversible. Whe...
World of Warcraft Reputation Guide for Scryer
2009-03-10 00:00:00
When you finally hit that coveted level 60 mark and head into the Outlands, you will need to decide which order you should align yourself with: Aldor or Scryer. For those who choose to go with Scryer, the main perks of aligning your character with them is the added critical strike rating once you gain enough reputation with them. Just like with Aldor, you will be doing quests that will have you gathering certain items, such as tokens, and helping the Scryers with their quests in Nagrand, the Terokkar Forest, and the Blade's Edge Mountains. The Scryers are an ancient order of blood elves, led by Voren'thal the Seer, who live in Shattrath City. This group detached from Prince Kael'thas and instead, gave their assistance to the Naaru at Shattrath City, keeping them at war with the Aldor. They are in a constant struggle for power in Shattrath City against the Aldor and are trying to win favor with the Naaru. In the beginning, any player that is already a blood elf will automatically be friendly with the Scryers and hostile with the Aldor, just as draenei players will be friendly with the Aldor and hostile with the Scryers. Of course, this can be changed by doing quests for either side. Once you have comple...
World of Warcraft Rogue Powerleveling Guide
2009-03-10 00:00:00
First off I just want to let you know that this isn't my guide. I found it on the 'net and it is very valuable so I thought I deserves a page here. This guide was created by Prancer a level 57 rogue on Bloodscalp Realm. This Grinding guide is based on what is good for a rogue, so this may or may not be viable for other classes, I cant say, I can just say that it is very good for rogues. ------------------------------------------------ A few tips you should always remember when grinding: 1.: Always remember bandages and food, grinding is no good without it. 2.: Getting into big discussions/chats in the /gchat or /wchat or whatever is always fun, and it definitely makes the grinding less boring, however it will slow you down You can go from 40k/hour to 30k/hour just by having a conversation in the chat which doesnt seem to take up a lot of time Keep that in mind if u really want to lvl fast. 3.: If you cant stand to grind non-stop, just combine it with some questing to ease it up a little... 4.: If you go back to IF/Orgrimmar every half lvl to check AH, you will lose a lot of time with the travelling Although u may have your hearthstone there, the trip back again will cost you a lot of tim...
